What's New
Rabbit symbolizes moving through fear, living by one’s own wits, receiving intuitive messages and quick thinking. Rabbit represents humility because he is quiet, soft and not self asserting. We are reminded not to be afraid.
Quail symbolizes a strong sense of community and family ties. Joy and boldness are inherited qualities of the quail. A sense of purpose in serving family creates quail’s mission. There is a connection to earth in that it prefers to stay close to the ground even though it has the ability to fly, and it uses instinct to guide it safely through perilous situations.
Turtle has a strong connection with the Center, or Mother Earth. It respects the boundaries of others, developing new ideas, self reliance, tenacity and non-violent defense. Turtle has the ability to go within – he can withdraw into his shell and protect himself from danger.

Soup for the Soul to benefit Hospice of Mercy

Fish symbolizes wisdom and inner knowing. Fish honor every event in life as a gathering of wisdom. Even when the flow of life seems to push hard, fish can tap the hidden resources of inner strength and spirit. Fish finishes what it begins and has a sense of purpose that cannot be interrupted by external forces. Fish teaches us to see every bend in the river as a new adventure and teaches lessons we need in order to grow.
Dragonfly is a communicator bringing messages of wisdom, peace and happiness. Dragonflies are swift in activity and purpose; they are messengers delivering new information as their rainbow wings, with shifting of color, energy, form and movement, create a spectacle of beauty and grace. Dragonfly is the essence of the winds of change.

Deer symbolizes tenderness in work, thought, touch, ability to listen, grace, appreciation for the beauty of balance, an understanding of what is necessary for survival, power of gratitude and giving. There is the connection with nature and the ability to sacrifice for the greater good. The deer teaches us to find gentleness of spirit that heals all wounds and to achieve a balance of love and compassion for all.

Halos For Heros

Make A Donation in honor of the physician, nurse, housekeeper, or other caregiver who made a difference in your visit or stay.  100% of all funds donated support the mission and programs of the Mercy Health Foundation.

Halos for Heroes is a program that evolved out of Mercy's desire to highlight the relationship between patients and providers.  It allows patients, family, and friends to recognize and honor a specific Mercy staff member who provided them with outstanding service.  Halos for Heroes endorses Mercy's ideals in the areas of quality, service, cost, people, growth, and community in its quest to build an outstanding organization that better serves the needs of patients.
